TSDZ2

Mechanical installation is strait forward. The installation guide included is OK for the mechanical install while the video on the internet is better value. Where do all the wires go? What are they for? Thank goodness for AffordableEBikes product support. Still waiting for a handlebar attachment for the display before giving a road trial. I have mounted the TSDZ2 on a tadpole trike with underseat steering. Handlebar mounting areas are at a premium. When the final road test is complete, I will provide an update.

TSDZ2

This motor worked out extremely well on my Rans Stratus recumbent bicycle. The Stratus is one of the few bikes i can peddle reasonably well on the flat without an e-assist but i really needed help on the hills. Worked out perfectly and with the battery in a trunk bag behind the seat i really didnt notice any change in weight distribution. My new favourite long range summer cruiser. Hills are no obstacle now.

Second tongsheng install.

Bought my first in may of 2020, took my time installing it, not particularly hard to do. Make sure you have a good supply of long enough zip ties to do a neat job. The first version has the older display, works great. Was so much fun I had to get another one for my wife. The new 850c display allows greater control over all the possible variables than the older display. The second install took me about 3-4hrs. The torque sensing system makes riding uphill effortless. Myles is very helpful, was able to answer all my questions on the first install and also on how to program the display on the second install. The motor has enough power, you will find it unnecessary to shift to any gear lower than top gear unless you are riding a very steep hill. I got the 48v battery pack for both installs. I have been able to ride about 85km on a low assist and still have about 25% battery left.
